Introduction to the principle nature of Industrial RO membranes

The full name of Industrial RO membranes is Reverse Osmosis, which is translated as a reverse osmosis membrane.

The so-called reverse osmosis actually means that the general flow of water is from a low concentration to a high concentration, and if the water is pressurized, it will flow from a high concentration to a low concentration. Because the pore size of the RO membrane is one millionth of the hair filament, which is 0.0001 micron, its pores are invisible to the naked eye. Bacteria and viruses are 5000 times larger than the pore membrane, so only water molecules and some mineral ions can pass, and other impurities and heavy metal substances will be discharged from the waste pipe.
Because Industrial RO membranes have such characteristics, all seawater is used in the desalination process and astronaut wastewater recycling process, so RO has won the nickname of high-tech "artificial kidney" in vitro. In life, RO membranes are used for polymer filtration in many aspects.

The RO membrane reverse osmosis membrane has a pore size as small as nanometer. Under a certain pressure, water molecules can pass through the RO membrane, and inorganic salts, heavy metal ions, organic substances, bacteria, viruses and the like in the source water cannot pass through the RO membrane. The filtration of the RO membrane can strictly distinguish the permeated pure water from the impervious concentrated water.
